For Michel and Dany Rolland, Mariflor is “a Place, a Wine and a Concept” that has materialized through their two decade enchantment with, and immersion
in, the country of Argentina. The estate is named after their first-born daughter, Marie (“Marie-Flor”) the suffix meaning “flower” in French.
The Mariflor vineyards cover 247 acres, of which 148 acres are so far planted to a variety of grapes: Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet
Franc as well as Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc.
The winery, “Bodega Rolland” is composed of 54 small thermos-regulated concrete vats, unique in the region, designed under the supervision of a Bordeaux
specialist, and equipped to handle grapes by gravity and a battery of wooden tanks.

"Fine nose, with aromas of raspberry, licorice, fennel and balsamic notes of aromatic herbs. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine tannins and red
fruit flavors." Wine Advocate #212.
